Kata “doa” dalam bahasa aslinya artinya mendekatkan diri. Jadi orang yang berdoa itu orang yang mendekatkan diri. Beberapa waktu lalu banyak yang dapat pernyataan bahwa Tuhan ingin disembah. Penyembahan itu lebih dari sekedar meminta, lebih dari sekedar berlutut.
Menyembah Tuhan hakekatnya selain meninggikan Tuhan juga merendahkan diri. Menyembah Tuhan menjadikan Dia tuan dan kita hamba, kita menjadi orang yang menunggu perintah Tuhan, lembut dan mau melakukan kehendak Tuhan.
