Sebelum Ia naik ke kayu salib, Yesus membersihkan dulu Bait Allah, agar orang-orang yang Dia tebus akan beribadah di Bait yang kudus. Bukan bait yang dari luarnya kelihatan kegiatan ibadah, tetapi ada kegiatan bisnis di dalamnya.
Dari peristiwa Yesus membersihkan BaitNya, umat Tuhan bisa mengambil banyak pelajaran bagaimana seharusnya tempat ibadah yang benar dan bagaimana beribadah yang benar. Sehingga akan menjadi jelas ciri-ciri orang yang cinta Tuhan sesuai standar Tuhan.
